The SACCSS Awards Afternoon took place on
Thursday 24th November for the first time in 3 years.
We thank Thomas Carr College, Tarneit for hosting this event.
Students from our 15 member colleges were invited along to celebrate their personal best and their achievements at SACCSS events during 2022.
The afternoon commences with a welcome and prayer from the SACCSS President, followed by a shared hot lunch.
Students then move to an auditorium space to be addressed by a guest speaker panel.
This year the members of the SACCSS Guest Speaker panel were
TJ Vlajnic (Western United A-League player, St Monica’s Alumni),
Lauren Camilleri ( Ex- Australian Boxer, VFLW player and Thomas Carr Alumni),
Aaron Ayre (Ex- Victorian Cricketer, current Caroline Chisholm staff member).
The 3 speakers addressed the audience, answering questions about their sporting experiences, physical and mental health
and how to manage a work/sport/life balance.
The formal awards presentation took place after this.
Students awarded had broken records in 2022, were the Player of the Series, or who had shown exceptional sportspersonship throughout the year were acknowledged in front of the Association.
