SACCSS are so pleased with the success of the first ever SACCSS Badminton Tournament.
The Tournament was held on Thursday 28th July at Eagle Stadium in Werribee.
This massive tournament saw 128 double pairs play across 36 Badminton courts in a
Round Robin Competition.
The Tournament was separated into 3 Age Group Categories:
– Junior Boys and Girls A & B (Year 7 and 8)
– Intermediate Boys and Girls A & B (Year 9 and 10)
– Open Boys and Girls A & B (Students from Year 7-12)
The competitors were exceptional in their skill and conduct over the day.
Thanks to the staff and student helpers from Thomas Carr College and Caroline Chisholm College who assisted with the convening of the day –
without them, the day would not have run as smoothly.
Once each team played all others in their pool – scores were collated and teams ranked.
Teams finishing 1st or 2nd in their pool, went on to compete in a Cross Over Semi Final – with the victors going onto the Grand Finals at 1:40pm.
