On Friday 4th March SACCSS held its 2022 Open and Junior Golf tournaments, the first of the major championship events of the SACCSS calendar for the year. The Open event was played at Werribee Golf Club with participants playing the full 18-hole course. Students from years 7-10 participated in a 9-hole game at Melbourne Airport Golf Club.
There was an exceptional level of skill displayed at the tournament, stand out performances from the MacKillop College Open Team who all scored an incredible 89 or under to take out the Open Team pennant. Results from our event are passed onto Golf Australia, where they are ranked against students from other school sporting associations and the top participants are invited to the Independent Secondary Schools Golf State Final to be held at Long Island Golf Course on May 30th.
